Last night at WWE Backlash, AJ Styles came out victorious in his match with Dean Ambrose and got the WWE World Championship.
This is his first title in WWE and it did make history. Indeed, AJ Styles is the first wrestler in history to have won major titles that could be regarded as the three most important wrestling federations in the world: WWE, TNA and NJPW. It is also the third person to have held the belt in WWE and NWA, the first two being Ric Flair and Buddy Rodgers. Finally, Styles was the first to win the belt from WWE after that of TNA.
