While Randy Orton and Jinder Mahal would have had to face each other at SmackDown Live next week for the WWE Championship although not officially announced by WWE, the match between the two for the belt will actually not take place at SmackDown Live next week.
The original plan for the televised game would have been that Jinder Mahal retained his belt by disqualification following an intervention by The Singh Brothers who attack Randy Orton.
There is however a rumor that this match between Jinder Mahal and Randy Orton for the WWE Championship will be staggered in the Dark Main Event of the blue show.
