As you may have seen at Monday Night Raw this week, Matt Hardy beat Sheamus and so the Hardy Boyz had the opportunity to choose the stipulation for their next defense of the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship against Cesaro and Sheamus at Extreme Rules. It was revealed after the match between Matt Hardy and Sheamus that the match between the two teams will be a Steel Cage Match.
Many people hoped to see a Ladder Match or TLC Match between the two teams at Extreme Rules, but these were apparently not WWE plans. Dave Meltzer said that WWE has decided to place a Steel Cage Match for Extreme Rules because the company had already made a Ladder Match at NXT TakeOver in the weekend: Chicago and WWE think it's too soon for Another Ladder Match.
