During the last recordings of the NXT Tonight, WWE announced that Mickie James, former Women's and Divas Champion, will return to NXT Takeover: Toronto to face Asuka for NXT Women's Championship. Mickie left the WWE in 2010.
Mickie James has also noted:
"Ps ... Asuka, guess who's back ?! See you in Toronto. "
