Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of The Wrestling Observer that Vince McMahon was against the idea of having Sasha Banks vs Charlotte event being the Hell in a Cell hand.
Meltzer noted that although many people are behind the scenes for Sasha vs Charlotte is the main event, Triple H and supporting the idea, insisting Vince was against it. This led to much frustration backstage.
"What everyone needs to understand is that there is someone who understands all aspects better than the one who makes all the decisions," declared a source close to the situation to the Observer. "We just need to find a respectful way to make him change his mind. "
The arguments for this match is the last is that the event is in the hometown of Sasha and this would be a progressive movement. It was noted that while Vince can always change your mind, as of last Tuesday, it was unlikely that the match is the main event of the show.
As noted, Wrestlemania 33 will be held at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida April 2 2 017. This will be the second time that WrestleMania will take place in this arena since Wrestlemania 24 in 2008, and although Wrestlemania 34 is in almost 1 year and a half, WWE is close to finalizing the location of the following year.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, WWE has reduced his options up to four choices. While three of these towns remain a mystery, Minneapolis would be highly regarded. Originally Wrestlemania 33 was set to take place in this city, but Orlando was preferred to finish.
WWE has not taken a pay-per-view in Minneapolis Elimination Chamber since 2014 and they have never held a Wrestlemania in the state of Minnesota. If they were to go ahead with their plans, WrestleMania 34 would be only the fifth pay-per-view of the company to be held in Minneapolis.
It is very likely that WWE Wrestlemania 34 could accommodate the new US Bank Stadium, which opened in July 2016, and can accommodate up to 70 000 people.
