The first fight CM Punk in the octagon of the UFC, and thereby the first in MMA, was September 10, 2016 at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio against the fighter Mickey Gall. A fight that ended very badly for CM Punk.
The first round had just started and Gall projected Punk to the floor TakeDown to rush shots. Punk cashed blows, but at 2 minutes 40 seconds Gall applied him a Rear-Naked Choke-ground to do typing. At first glance Punk out of the fight with his right ear torn, no other injuries.
The first question that comes to mind is; Is CM Punk was ready for that first fight? He said the answer was yes, but the experience in MMA Gall took over on Punk. This victory Gallen will help her in the ranking of the UFC, but this first defeat will not be positive for Punk.
The next step for CM Punk in the octagon? In the interview after combat Punk simply stated that this defeat does not mean he will give up. He says :
''I'll be back. It was one of the happiest days of my life. ''
He adds that in life one must always stand up and believe in yourself.
'' The result is not always what we want, but in life you have to try. It was the time of my life. ''
