The plan for the main event of Wrestlemania 34 is Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. The Beast was originally supposed to keep the title until the biggest PPV of the year, but it was the starting plan. The same source reports today that Lesnar could lose the title this year and resume it later to arrive as a champion at Wrestlemania. He could also lose the belt against Braun Strowman in Summerslam if he returns in time.
For reminder Lesnar will defend his title at Great Balls of Fire on July 9 against Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Bray Wyatt, Samoa Joe or Roman Reigns, who will compete in Extreme Rules to become No. 1 Contender.
This new plan could please fans who complain widely that they do not see the WWE Universal Championship defended every month like the other titles of the federation. This absence also makes the title less important.
