The current number one challenger to the WWE championship currently held by Randy Orton has expressed himself in Chris Jericho's podcast:
Jinder Mahal revealed that just before returning to the Stamford company, he was in discussion with the TNA to appear there. The Orlando company had called him to settle details on the day of one of their PPVs (Sunday), but Mark Carrano had called him the day before (Saturday) to tell him that Vince McMahon wanted him back. The Indian wrestler also expresses that deep inside him and in his heart, he knew he wanted to return to WWE.
He also revealed that his relationship with Vince McMahon is much better today than it had ever been, given that the Chairman places much more interest in him than before in relation to his gauge. He even wrote some of his promos in order to more easily attract heat to the Maharaja, which worked even if he was initially not convinced.
In his first run on the 3MB team, Mahal also tried to avoid McMahon as much as he found intimidating.
Finally, Jinder Mahal did not hide to have fallen very low during the two years after his dismissal from the WWE. He admits to having touched the bottom by drinking every night, making him necessarily become out of shape. Finally, he once again took charge of his diet and, especially, stopped brutally drinking alcohol, making a complete weaning.
